5th Class Poetry & Halloween Art

The boys and girls in 5th class had a very busy week in school. They learned a new poem by Roald Dahl and created some fantastic Halloween artwork. Great work, 5th class!

3rd and 4th Class Futsal Competition 

The boys and girls in third and fourth class took part in the FAI futsal competition today in the leisure centre. They did a fantastic job representing St. Aidan’s. Well done to all involved! 

Halloween in St. Aidan’s

St. Aidan’s haunted school is returning this year on the 27th of October. Families with small children are invited to attend from 6pm – 8pm. Families with children over 8/ individuals are invited to attend from 9pm – 10.30pm when it will be extra scary!! 

Tickets will be available to purchase in St. Aidan’s on Tuesday the 24th of October and Thursday the 26th of October from 6-8pm. 

No uniform day is on the 27th of October. Children are invited to wear their Halloween costumes on this day! 

Please be advised that St. Aidan’s will be closed from Monday the 30th of October to Friday to the 3rd of October (inclusive) for the midterm break.

We hope to see everybody back at 9am on Monday the 6th of November. Have a great Halloween! 

School Closure

As advised by the Department of Education, St. Aidan’s NS will remain closed tomorrow the 17th of October. We will re-open on Wednesday at 9am.

Cross Country Success 

Well done to all of the boys and girls who represented St. Aidan’s NS in the cross country running today in Lee’s Road. A big congratulations to Shane Duggan and Devyn Duggan who won medals. A great day was had by all! 

School Reopening

St Aidans NS will reopen tomorrow morning at 9am after the summer holidays. We are looking forward to seeing all the boys and girls and to welcoming our new pupils in Junior Infants and some new pupils in other classes, we hope you all enjoyed your summer holidays!

School Holidays

School will close today and reopen on Wednesday 30th August at 9am. We hope you all have a wonderful summer!!

6th Class Art Project

Natalie Elbaba came in and worked with the 6th Class on an art project over the past few weeks, they made beautiful mosaics and they painted some walls in the playground!

Sports Day Success

Our Sports Day was a huge success this year. The children enjoyed taking part in lots of different activities and the sun was shining all day. (More photos to follow in photo gallery)

Presentation of Medals

We were delighted to have Aaron Shangher and Aaron Cunningham cone into our school on Friday to present the boys with their medals for winning the Division 3 Final of Cumann na mBunscol. The two Clare Hurlers joined Mr Conlon and Mr Mc Evoy on the Astro Turf to present the boys with their medals.

We would like to say a special word of thanks to Noel Justice and Paddy Duggan for their very generous sponsorship towards the team, it was greatly appreciated!
