Welcome Back!

We would like to welcome back all the boys and girls to St.Aidans NS and we would especially like to welcome the new Junior Infants and the new pupils who joined the different classes throughout the school, September is almost over and everyone is settled back and the Junior Infants will be starting a full day on Monday! We are looking forward to a busy school year ahead!!

Sports Day 2019

Despite a cold day all the children really enjoyed Sports Day! They took part in running races, sack races, three legged races, egg and spoon races, tug of war, wellington throwing, basketball shoots, penalty shots, relay races and soccer skills!

Fourth Class School Tour to Athlone

Soccer Success

Following on from their success on the 9th of April where the boys topped their group.
On the 1st of May, the boys participated in the chase for the Clare title Section B (medium size schools).
The boys played three matches and successfully won all three.
They were up against a very strong Killaloe side in the final where it remained scoreless at full time.
5 mins Golden Goal extra time was played where Seán Murphy successfully secured the winning goal for St Aidan’s.

The boys are now representing Clare Section B Medium Schools in the Munster Finals on the 14th of May in Seanchoill Sports Complex, Corbally.

Senior Infants – Easter Art

World Book Day

Senior Infants celebrated World Book Day today by dressing up as their favourite character from a book. Throughout the day they enjoyed listening to lots of stories and they had fun designing book covers, book marks and finally they wrote a book review for their favourite book!
