Located in Shannon, Co. Clare, St. Aidan’s is a mixed gender primary school which caters for children aged between five and thirteen years.

Founded in 1982 St. Aidan’s has gone from strength to strength, with a current enrolment of 280+ pupils. There are eight classes, ranging from Junior Infants to Sixth Class, and ten class teachers who are in turn supported by Resource & Learning support teachers.

St. Aidan’s offers a wide and varied curriculum, whilst providing a well rounded education in accordance with the Irish Primary School Curriculum. Curricular areas include Irish, English, Maths, SESE (Geography, History, Science), SPHE (Social Personal Health Education), Music, Drama, Art and P.E.

Here in St. Aidan’s we endeavour to create a school environment where we can all learn and grow to our full potential. Our new website is the latest development in our ever-growing school and aims to reflect the vibrant and enthusiastic nature of our school’s environment.
