We would like to welcome back all the boys and girls to St. Aidans NS for a new school year! The month of September is just flying by and all the classes are settled in and our new Junior Infants are now on a full day. We are looking forward to a busy and exciting year ahead!
Today was the last day of Primary School for our Sixth Class pupils and they celebrated their last with a beautiful Graduation Mass followed by a party back at school. We would like to wish all the Sixth Class boys and girls the very best of luck in Secondary School, we really enjoyed teaching you in St. Aidans. “reach for the moon and you’ll land among the stars”.
This week marks an end of an era for two of our teachers as Mrs.Breda Scully and Mr. Fintan Mc Evoy are retiring on Friday. Breda and Fintan are two amazing teachers and they will be hugely missed. Today at our end of year mass the children presented Breda with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and Fintan with a signed hurley, football and a photo of the St. Aidans team as a token of our appreciation for their dedication to many wonderful years of teaching in St. Aidans.
The children in second class are making their First Holy Communion tomorrow, the 19th of May. Please be in your seats by 10.30. Best of luck and enjoy your special day!!
The children in fourth class have been learning about the Kindred Spirits sculpture in Midleton, Co. Cork. They made an amazing replica. Well done.
