Sixth Class had a very bust start to their final year in St. Aidan’s.
In October we were lucky enough to visit Glór Theatre in Ennis to see the storyteller Niall de Búrca. We even got an autograph.
We have started learning the Tin Whistle and we are hoping to be able to play as a class at our Confirmation.
We learned all about the Orchestra and even made our own instruments.
We have been attending swimming lessons this term and we were lucky enough to attend GAA Skills Lessons with Podge Collins. We hope to be this good one day!!
As we are maturing and getting older as we begin our journey towards Secondary School, it is important that we know about our rights and more importantly our responsibilities. We were lucky enough to be selected to attend a workshop at the Office of the Ombudsman for children in Dublin. There we learned all about the job and role of the Ombudsman. Afterwards we travelled to Croke Park for a guided tour of the stadium. We really enjoyed our trip.
We participated in a Science Quiz in St. Caimin’s as part of activities for Science Week. We really enjoyed it and one our teams came 3rd.
We will be competing in an Inter-School Quiz in Ennis, we hope we can do our best!
We are busy preparing to compete in the Country Primary Debating competition, you never know we may be the next TD’s for Clare!!
We have started learning French and we are really enjoying it.
